Locke & Key’s Connor Jessup Says Boyfriend Miles Heizer Inspired His Coming Out

Actor Connor Jessup — best known for his role as Tyler Locke on the new Netflix series Locke & Key — has opened up about how falling in love with his boyfriend, 13 Reasons Why actor Mile Heizer, inspired him to come out as gay.

In a new cover interview for Attitude, the 25-year-old Canadian actor discussed his decision to come out as gay in a lengthy Instagram post last June, coinciding with Pride Month. „It was something I’d been thinking about more and more, and the reasons that I wasn’t saying anything felt thinner to me every day,“ Jessup told Attitude. „The excuses that I’d been giving myself for years were dissolving, and I couldn’t think of any reason not to.“

Jessup explained in the coming out post that he knew he was gay from age 13, but decided to hide it for “years.” “I folded it and slipped it under the rest of my emotional clutter,” he wrote, explaining that he would talk about the gay characters he’s played from a “neutral, almost anthropological distance, as if they were separate from me.”

In the Attitude interview, Jessup explained dating Heizer was a big reason why he came out. Confirming that they have been dating for “about 18 months,” Jessup revealed that the relationship is his “first time being in love.” „I’ll spare you the boring story of how we met because it’s truly unexciting,” Jessup explains, “but I will say — not to get sappy — that the other factor that led to me deciding to come out… was that I fell in love.”

„When you’re happy, you want to be happy publicly, and it made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding,” Jessup continued. „I probably wouldn’t have [come out] if that hadn’t happened.“

Jessup made his relationship with Heizer public earlier this month, in an Instagram post shared the day after Valentine’s Day. “I’m late but I love you, you’re good, you make me better, happy v+1 day,” he wrote.

Locke & Key’s Connor Jessup Says Boyfriend Miles Heizer Inspired His Coming Out

Why Bisexual Representation on “13 Reasons Why” Is So Important

In this op-ed, Teen Vogue writer Gianluca Russo explores the importance of bisexuality representation on 13 Reasons Why. Significant spoilers ahead for Season 4.

After three years, Netflix’s popular — and often controversial13 Reasons Why has officially come to an end, with the show’s final installment premiering on Friday, June 5. But before the fourth season wrapped, the writers had a few more complex topics in store that they wanted to bring to the forefront, including sexual identity and bisexuality.

In the most recent season, Alex Standall (played by Miles Heizer) embarks on a new journey towards embracing his sexuality. Throughout seasons 1 through 3, Alex is depicted having romantic and sexual relationships with women, while the fourth chapter shows the character navigating his attraction to men. Through a brief but emotional bond with a new classmate, Alex discovers more about his own identity, and continues to explore further as the season goes on.

Ultimately, Alex ends up in a relationship with Charlie, quarterback of Liberty High School’s football team, who comes out as bisexual towards the end of the 10-episode season. They each have positive, albeit different, experiences while coming out: Charlie has a formal sit-down with his father, while Alex simply brings his new boyfriend home, introducing him to his family at dinner. The introduction goes so well, in fact, that Alex is surprised that it wasn’t more of a big deal. Both characters remind us that however you identify is valid — and that it’s also OK to eschew labels entirely.

Fans have been waiting since season one for further development regarding Alex’s sexuality (though, to their disappointment, many were hoping Alex would end up with Zach, which did not occur). But more than just feeding into the fandom’s „shipping,“ the writers’ choice to incorporate bisexuality into the storyline points to a larger change in media and entertainment as a whole — and a representation that has sorely been missing from pop culture.

Even with society’s evolving understanding of sexuality, many harmful stereotypes surrounding bisexuality — and especially bisexual men — still persist, leading many folks feeling invalidated. One recent survey found that nearly 50% of bisexual men are not out at work, while a survey conducted by Match reported that bisexual men are less likely to feel supported by the LGBTQ+ community.

On-screen representation has work to do, too. A 2018 study conducted by GLAAD found that out of 109 movies released that year from major production companies, only 14 featured LGBTQ+ characters (and only two of those characters identified as bisexual). And when bisexual characters are depicted in pop culture, they are often over-sexualized and lacking dimension, feeding into the harmful cycle of stereotypes.

Clearly, more needs to be done to support bi+ folks — and seeing themselves reflected in characters is a start. That’s why Morgan, a 15-year-old teen from Florida who identifies as bisexual, found this season of 13 Reasons Why to be so impactful.

“It made me feel valid and noticed,” she tells Teen Vogue of watching Alex and Charlie’s relationship develop. “I think media usually portrays bisexual people as cheaters and that’s actually pretty harmful. I hate seeing it. Just because someone likes [more than one gender] doesn’t mean they’re gonna cheat on you.”

After entering a relationship with a man, Alex’s identity is never challenged by his peers, and his prior relationships with women are not called into question. The storyline surrounding his relationship with Charlie breaks many misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding bisexual men, like the (incorrect and harmful) thought that being bisexual is a “pit stop” on the way to identifying as gay, or that being bisexual negates any prior feelings or relationships.

Studies show that bisexual men are constantly battling stigmas from both within and outside the queer community. A 2016 survey conducted by Glamour reported that 63% of the participating women stated they would not date a man who has had sex with another man. The same survey, however, found that a large portion of the 1,000 women questioned were comfortable exploring the spectrum of their own sexualities, thus pointing out a grave double standard.

According to Vice, a 2015 survey found that, of 3,000 participants, a vast majority questioned whether men can „truly“ be bisexual (they can!), wondering instead if it’s „just a phase“ (it’s not!). Additionally, a study published in the Journal of Bisexuality in 2019 reported that many of the participating women admitted to finding bisexual men less attractive — both sexually and romantically — than straight men. It’s because of this — and many other reasons — that bisexual folks are less likely to come out to loved ones than those who identify as gay.

All of this points to why bisexual men are so hard to find in television and film, though that is clearly starting to change. In 2019, Freeform’s hit series The Bold Type introduced Patrick Duchand — head of the fictional magazine’s “dot com” — who alluded to having relationships with multiple genders. (The inclusion came as no surprise to fans, considering how the series has so acctruately and powerfully depicted Kat Edison’s bisexual awakening). Similarly, Schitt’s Creek painted Dan Levy’s character David Rose as being pansexual, experiencing intimate relationships with both men and women.

“I was always told that bisexuality is just being ‘indecisive’ and not ‘picking a side,’” adds Morgan. “Bisexual representation on screen would have helped me so much when I was younger and questioning. It would have made me feel safe.” The 15-year-old adds that representation matters, emphasizing: “Young people need to know that it’s not just being ‘indecisive.’”

13 Reasons Why has always aimed to tackle important issues, valuing the importance of conversation above all else. There’s no denying that the series has made some missteps along the way, many of which they have since addressed and taken strides to rectify. But in its final season, the show tackled a topic that’s long been requested by young people, one that’s been missing from pop culture as a whole. In every facet of life, representation of all kinds plays a vital role in how we view ourselves, and this topic is no different. And as demonstrated by the many fans online who have expressed their gratitude, seeing your sexual identity portrayed on screen can be endlessly impactful and powerful. Hollywood should take note: bisexuality is real, it is valid, and representation can, quite honestly, save lives.

Connor publicly came out as gay last year. Via Instagram, the actor wrote: „I knew I was gay when I was thirteen, but I hid it for years. I folded it and slipped it under the rest of my emotional clutter. Not worth the hassle. No one will care anyway. If I can just keep making it smaller, smaller, smaller…. My shame took the form of a shrug, but it was shame.“

Connor then added: „I’m a white, cis man from an upper-middle class liberal family. Acceptance was never a question. But still, suspended in all this privilege, I balked. It took me years. It’s ongoing.“

He ended the post writing: „To all the queers, deviants, misfits, and lovers in my life: I love you. I love you. Happy Pride!“

I knew I was gay when I was thirteen, but I hid it for years. I folded it and slipped it under the rest of my emotional clutter. Not worth the hassle. No one will care anyway. If I can just keep making it smaller, smaller, smaller…. My shame took the form of a shrug, but it was shame. I’m a white, cis man from an upper-middle class liberal family. Acceptance was never a question. But still, suspended in all this privilege, I balked. It took me years. It’s ongoing. I’m saying this now because I have conspicuously not said it before. I’ve been out for years in my private life, but never quite publicly. I’ve played that tedious game. Most painfully, I’ve talked about the gay characters I’ve played from a neutral, almost anthropological distance, as if they were separate from me. These evasions are bizarre and embarrassing to me now, but at the time they were natural. Discretion was default, and it seemed benign. It would be presumptuous to assume anyone would care, yeah? And anyway, why should I have to say anything? What right do strangers have to the intimate details of my life? These and other background whispers––new, softer forms of the same voices from when I was thirteen, fourteen, fifteen…. Shame can come heavy and loud, but it can come quiet too; it can take cover behind comfort and convenience. But it’s always violent. For me, this discretion has become airless. I don’t want to censor––consciously or not––the ways I talk, sit, laugh, or dress, the stories I tell, the jokes I make, my points of reference and connection. I don’t want to be complicit, even peripherally, in the idea that being gay is a problem to be solved or hushed. I’m grateful to be gay. Queerness is a solution. It’s a promise against cliche and solipsism and blandness; it’s a tilted head and an open window. I value more everyday the people, movies, books, and music that open me to it. Connor Jessup Came Out Because He Fell in Love With Miles Heizer

Connor Jessup Came Out Because He Fell in Love With Miles Heizer

We all totally lost it over the adorable reveal that Connor Jessup and Miles Heizer are dating. And now, Jessup is speaking candidly about his decision to come out publicly as gay — something he says was inspired by his relationship with Heizer.

In a recent interview with , Jessup reiterates that he had been out in his private life for years. However, he admits that he not only avoided coming out publicly for a long time, but also somewhat avoided getting into a serious relationship because he knew something would have to change.

“The excuse was always that I was busy working and there was never the time to meet people,” he says of his relationship history. “That’s all true to an extent, but also I think I was afraid.”

Jessup, who is currently starring in Netflix’s Locke & Key, and Heizer, who has starred in the last three seasons of 13 Reasons Why, have been dating for 18 months, and their time together served as inspiration for Jessup to finally come out to the world last summer.

“It was something I’d been thinking about more and more, and the reasons that I wasn’t saying anything felt thinner to me every day,” he said. “The excuses that I’d been giving myself for years were dissolving, and I couldn’t think of any reason not to.”

A post shared by Connor Jessup (@connorwjessup) on Feb 15, 2020 at 4:21pm PST

“When you’re happy, you want to be happy publicly, and it made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding,” he elaborated.

So that’s it. Jessup’s core reason for coming out, “one of the sparks at the beginning of the fuse,” as he puts it, was a simple one:

The Many Reasons Why We Love Miles Heizer

Last year, Netflix released 13 Reasons Why, a teen drama based on Jay Asher’s 2007 YA novel of the same name. Grappling with the events leading up to Liberty High student Hannah Baker’s death by suicide, the show focuses on a group of her fellow students as they find out — one by one, through cassette tapes Hannah recorded before her death — what they did to hurt her in ways that contributed to her decision to end her life. While the majority of the group seems more focused on protecting their reputation by ensuring the tapes don’t fall into the wrong hands, a few students seem genuinely troubled by the revelations. Alex Standall, one of the students in the latter group, spends the majority of the season gradually breaking down as he comes to terms with what he did — and in the nail-biting finale (spoiler alert!), it’s implied that he may have attempted suicide as a result.

Standall is played by Miles Heizer, a Kentucky native whose impressive line of acting work includes television roles on shows like Parenthood and ER, and recent movie appearances in 2016’s Nerve and in the highly anticipated gay teen romantic comedy Love, Simon. On top of all this, Heizer is one of the „culture re-mixers“ being spotlighted in The GAP’s new Logo Remix campaign. As a GAP-appointed „leader of the ’now‘ generation,“ Heizer is well-prepared to be a voice for the young people — through his acting work and beyond. As he says, “I take the responsibility and I think it’s a good thing.”

With season two of 13 Reasons Why (hopefully) right around the corner and Love, Simon hitting theaters this March, Heizer is gearing up for another exciting year in 2018. Luckily for us, the actor is laying low for now and found some time to hop on the phone with them. As we chatted about his upcoming projects, Heizer also talked about his feelings on becoming a role model, how 13 Reasons Why will respond to the first season’s backlash in its second, and why looking like he’s still 15 is helping him book the roles he really wants.

I got involved so randomly. They just approached me to be a part of it and I was so surprised because there are so many cool people involved with it. I was really excited to even be considered, let alone asked. I’m definitely honored to be a part of it and hopefully will be a good representation.

Beforehand, I definitely dealt with pretty normal things that other people have regarding your mental health, but I hadn’t focused as much on the suicide aspect until this show. I think all the people involved [on the show] were so helpful — they gave us so much information and gave us contacts to talk to all these people. We really had a lot of access to people that know a lot about [severe depression and suicide], so we were able to get a much better handle on it. I mean, it’s really tragic how common this situation is in real life, especially amongst young people who are dealing with the issues that we talk about on the show. They don’t feel comfortable talking to other people about it, which can oftentimes lead you to make decisions that you can’t really go back on.

Hopefully this show allowed people to see someone they can relate to on a TV show — or anything in entertainment — and see these characters and be like, “Oh, they are experiencing the same things as me. Maybe it’s not weird.” It makes it less confusing and less abnormal, and hopefully allows them to get help and start a conversation with people so they can feel heard and find happiness, ultimately. I hope that it accomplished that. I think it’s cool that it really is one of the first mainstream shows about teenagers to talk about those issues, so I’m really proud to be a part of that.

I think it definitely has. It’s come along with a little bit of responsibility to be aware — which is a big responsibility, but I think it is ultimately really valuable too. It puts you in a place where you have to learn about these things and understand them, and I think that that ultimately helps you understand other people. You know, we’re all different and experiencing different things. I think it’s good to know that and be able to recognize that and to just be an open person that other people feel like they can talk to. Even [with] yourself, you have to be vulnerable in order to show other people that that’s fine and that it’s okay to talk about these things. It’s so completely normal. It’s amazing. Once you start talking about things, the way that people open up and are able to tell you about their experiences is pretty amazing and really helpful for everyone involved. So, I take the responsibility and I think it’s a good thing.

Ummmm yes. [The show is] definitely still about the same issues that we saw in the last season with some new things that haven’t been introduced yet. [Mental health] is still the main focus of the show, which I think is good because it got a lot press for being about that, but they did not shy away from it for this season. They really go straight back into it and even get into it deeper.

I think it kind of served more as a motivator. Again, I think a lot of it had to do with all the people we were able to talk to and get to meet as a part of this show who work in mental health and deal with people — especially at that age group — who are dealing with those issues. I think that because we were able to really get into it with them and understand the show that we were making, we all believe in it so much. Obviously, I don’t think we were attempting at all to glamorize these issues; I think we were more so just trying to show them. We all really believed in it, so I think all the backlash worked kind of as a motivator more than anything else.

That was really fun! I definitely have a smaller part in that [movie] but I really loved the script a lot. It’s actually so smart and funny, but also deals with issues that aren’t really explored — especially in a studio movie about teenagers. I think people will really like it; it’s such a good mixture of being a generally fun movie, but then also it has a lot of heart and it’s effective in that way. I was excited to be in that and work on something [new]. It’s always fun to jump around and work on different things. But that was fun because Katherine Langford is in it, who I’m also on 13 Reasons Why with. So it was fun to be back in a high school with her playing something that was not about her dying.

I mean, I’m definitely drawn to them. Especially when I was younger, I liked anything that was set in a high school. I loved all those movies — and I still do. Like, I loved Lady Bird. I think there’s something so nostalgic about it, and I think that as much as I would love to say that I was drawn… Well, I’m lucky because I am drawn to the things that I’ve gotten to be in. But also, I look like I’m 15-years-old still, so high school is more me.

Miles Heizer and Brandon Flynn: Are The ’13 Reasons Why’ Stars Dating? Is He Gay?…Miles seen Kissing Parenthood Co-star Mae Whitman Kissing? Find out all the Story!

Miles Heizer, a young talented actor has been famous for being in the show ’13 reason Why’ and there has been a rumor going on about him and his co-star, Brandon Flynn dating. Is he Gay? Are they dating?

Miles Heizer’s On-Screen Romance with Brandon Flynn and Gay Rumors

’13 Reasons Why‘ is a Netflix series based on the popular Jay Asher book, which tells the story of a suicide and what led the girl to kill herself. Miles plays the character of ‚Alex Standall,‘ one of the friends of ‚Hannah Baker,‘ in the series who was one of the friends of Hannah but later started a rumor which lands him in third place among the reasons why she killed herself.

Alex’s role was limited in the first season of the show, but in the later episodes of the series, he came to his own, and there was a new twist waiting for him in life. The character was involved in a relationship with another character in the show played by Brandon Flynn, and their characters’ romance on-screen was rumored to be bleeding into their real life.

There were gay rumors about the two actors after they were seen together on multiple occasions, out and about. They also appeared on each other’s Instagram page frequently, and fans started to believe in the gay rumors. This resulted in the actor’s agent coming out and telling the world the two were close friends and were not dating or in a relationship.

Mae Whitman and the Close Relationship with Miles Heizer

Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer met on the set of the series ‚Parenthood‘ where they played brother and sister, and not only did the characters form a great bond on-screen, they also cared for each other in real life. During the filming of the show, there were reports the two actors moved in together, and there were rumors they were in a relationship.

To further flame the relationship fire, the two shared a post on Instagram where they were seen kissing, and Mae captioned the photo, “Happy national kiss your brother day everyone!!!” But then the romance calls were quelled when the duo explained the two shares a bond, which is unique, and they are more than friends but not in a relationship.

Mae explained the relationship is extremely close, but they are not a couple. She still makes appearances in Miles’ Instagram, but the bond between the two seems to be platonic.

The reason why the actor and his sexual orientation is hard to deduce is because he is seen with both ladies and men. There is no sign of pride flags when it comes to his Instagram or other social media platforms, and then the actor is also seen with other ladies, which is what confuses people. Going by what the internet is saying, the actor is gay, but we cannot confirm this assumption.

Is Miles Heizer Gay?

Standing tall at 5′ 10″ (1.78 m), Heizer is a dashing young man. His sharp looks and lean physique (with an emo touch) are crush-worthy for teenagers all over the world. But is Miles Heizer from gay?

While Alex from affirmatively has a girlfriend, we cannot say the same for Miles Heizer. For a long time, there was nothing known about Heizer’s dating life. He has not had a girlfriend, and no one stepped forward claiming to be in a relationship with Heizer. The star himself has never spoken out about his love life, but fans are happy to speculate.

Recently rumors are rife that Miles Heizer and costar Brandon Flynn might be more than just “bros.” So, are Brandon Flynn and Miles Heizer dating? After seeing Instagram posts of the two stars hanging out, the Internet is going berserk over the possibility that Miles Heizer has a boyfriend. Unfortunately for some, Heizer’s rep told that the two are “just friends.”

friendly reminder that the actors alex (miles heizer) and justin (brandon flynn) from thirteen reasons why are dating in real life !!

On another note, fans had conflicting feelings about Miles Heizer and his on-screen sister. Mae Whitman took to Instagram to post a picture of her and her costar kissing. While some did not want to think of these on-screen siblings as unrelated actors, others liked the idea of Heizer and Whitman dating.

Brandon Flynn Officially Comes Out As LGBTQ on Instagram After This Happens

Brandon Flynn has never officially revealed his sexuality before, although his fans have always thought he lived in some kind of “glass closet” much like Colton Haynes used to.

However, something he saw today really shook him emotionally, and he simply could not hold it in much longer.

In Australia, a campaign against same-sex marriage just kicked off. Today, a skywriter wrote “Vote No” in the skies above Sydney to protest against gay people getting married. Grim stuff.

Anti-gay television ads are also starting to run in Australia in an attempt to “defeat the upcoming same-sex marriage proposal” which will be voted on in a few weeks. Anti-gay campaigners blasted “the assault on morals” by same-sex marriage and begged people to “vote no” on it.

Brandon went on Instagram to comment about what was happening, and was very emotional and upset. Take a look at his powerful post below.

Just saw the „vote no“ message in the sky, looming over Sydney. Thank you for raising money and hiring on a plane to write your lack of support amongst the clouds. I hope your hate and lack of understanding fades, just like those words will. Too many of my friends have been kicked out of their homes, kept in the closet, beat up, killed, ridiculed by church and state, institutionalized… and you are scared that if we vote YES, you won’t be able to show your hate for Us. Fuck that. We’ve been scared shitless our whole lives thanks to all the stigmas that surround Us, stigmas that were set in place by the same kind of people who flew that plane over Sydney. We’ve fought, we’ve come out bravely even in our fear, and you wrote a message in the sky because you’re scared. Equality takes courage, it worries me that too many people in this world lack the balls to stand up for what is right. #fuckhate

’13 Reasons Why’ Fans Have Spread Rumors That Brandon Was Dating Co-Star Miles Heizer in Real Life

Fans of 13 Reasons Why were probably not surprised by Brandon’s recent post. In fact, they already assumed Brandon was dating his fellow actor Miles Heizer for quite a while.

Fans have been hounding him to “come out”, even sounding mean and accusatory at times.

If they actually were (or are still) dating, they’re definitely cute as hell!

Is Miles Heizer Gay? What is His Relationship with Brandon Flynn?

The sexuality of Miles Heizer became a topic of discussion after his amazing and impressive performance as Alex Standall in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. The series, which deals with bullying and suicide, focuses on a high school student who committed suicide, leaving behind 13 tapes explaining why he had to take his own life.

A few weeks after the series debuted on Netflix, rumors circulated that Heizer and Justin Foley, his rival in the series played by Brandon Flynn, might actually be a real-life subject. The rumors were based on the strong friendship that developed between the two actors, which is contrary to what they both played in the series; you can see them hanging out alone or with other actor colleagues and sharing several cute photos of their meeting places on their Instagram pages.

Speculation was further fuelled when the video of the duo sharing a kiss appeared online. The video was actually taken from a scene in a short film Home Movies directed by Kevin Rio and released on Vimeo a few months ago. The short film received an honorable mention for the Audience Award at the Outfest Fusion Film Festival for its portrayal of a strong love between gay men.

Miles Heizer’s representative responded to rumors that the duo was no more than friends. They were only friends from the show and not together, he said on page six. Many find it hard to believe that they are just friends; while it is true that the chemistry between the two men is indeed one that cannot be brushed off easily, we simply have to wait for them to confirm a point.

Connor Jessup Decided to Come Out After Falling in Love with Miles Heizer!

Locke & Key actor Connor Jessup came out as gay last year and now he’s revealing what helped him decide to be open about his sexuality.

Connor said in a new interview with that he has been dating 13 Reasons Why actor for “about 18 months” and their relationship gave him the courage to come out.

“One of the sparks at the beginning of the fuse [for coming out], was that I fell in love. When you’re happy, you want to be happy publicly, and it made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding,” Connor said in the interview. “I probably wouldn’t have [come out] if that hadn’t happened.”

Connor said that before his relationship with Miles, he never looked for love.

“The excuse was always that I was busy working and there was never the time to meet people — that’s all true to an extent, but also I think I was afraid,” he said. “There’s still this phenomenon where you can be out like I was, but in my day-to-day life, I wasn’t doing anything that would make people think I was gay. I wasn’t in a relationship and I wasn’t looking to be because I was ignoring that part of me. I put myself on pause for a while.”

“So, I had relationships, but nothing like the one I’m in right now,” he added. “This is my first time being in love.”

Miles Relationship Status

The young talented and hot figure of Hollywood, Miles Heizer is gay and currently dating Connor Jessup. Connor is a Canadian actor. They made their affair public on 16th February 2020 by posting a picture on their official Instagram with the caption,

In 2014, he was rumored to have an affair with Mae Whitman. Later again in 2017, there were rumors of him having an affair with Alisha Boe.

Miles and His Co-star Brandon Flynn dating?

It’s going to be a rough day for anyone shipping 13 Reasons Why stars Miles Heizer and Brandon Flynn. The actors, who are starred as Alex Standall and Justin Foley respectively on the hit Netflix show aren’t dating in real life.

A rep for Miles had to intervene and get the situation under control after fans analyzed their close friends a little too hard, and came to the conclusion they were together romantically. They’ve officially denied it and said that this is nothing but a bromance.

And there you have it! There was actually no evidence even at the start that Miles and Brandon were allegedly dating. Diehard 13 Reasons Why fans just made a little fan fiction come to life when they noticed the friends posting a lot of cute photos together on Instagram.

Obviously, fans were totally freaking out at the thought they were together.

Whiteman captioned the post, “Happy National Kiss Your Brother Day everyone!!!” Though it seems that the two are not together, it looks like Heizer has a knack for stirring dating rumors with his costars.

Miles Heizer

There were once rumors that Miles Heizer was dating his co-star Brandon, but they turned out to not be true after a rep confirmed that the two were just friends. However, it seems like another Netflix star has caught his eye.

Locke and Key star Connor Jessup posted a cute photo of him with Miles for Valentine’s Day on his Instagram with the caption, „I’m late but I love you, you’re good, you make me better, happy v+1 day ?“

Miles didn’t post anything on this own account, but did comment back with a green heart and a crying face emoji.

Miles has been pretty busy over the past few years. He’s played Alex Standall in 13 Reasons Why, played the part of Simon’s friend in the movie, Love, Simon and was even featured in a Gap campaign.

There have also been rumors swirling that he’s dating his Parenthood co-star Mae Whitman. This has never been confirmed, but it sure looks like the two are definitely BFFs.

Katherine Langford

Though there were rumors that Katherine was dating her co-star Dylan, she appears to be completely single. Aside from reprising her role as Hannah Baker in the second season of 13 Reasons Why (as a ghost), Katherine’s been working on several other projects that might not leave her with enough time for dating. In October 18, she was cast as the teenage version of Tony Stark’s daughter in Avengers: Endgame, but the scene ended up confusing test audiences so unfortunately it was cut from the final film version.

You might not catch Katherine on a date, but you can soon go see her in her new film Knives Out.

Dylan Minnette

No, Dylan, who plays Clay Jensen, isn’t dating Katherine. He’s actually in a relationship with a singer name Lydia Night. Lydia is the lead vocalist and guitarist of a punk rock band called The Regrettes. Dylan and Lydia have been dating since 2018.

Lydia and Dylan first sparked relationship rumors when Dylan posted a ‚Happy Birthday‘ to Lydia on his Instagram.

Before dating Lydia, Dylan was linked to actress Kerris Dorsey, who he dated for four years. The two met on the set of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

Christian Navarro

Though Christian, who plays Tony, has never confirmed he has a girlfriend, he’s dropped tons of clues that pretty much confirm he’s dating model Kassidy Ramirez. Just a few weeks ago, he posted the cutest picture of Kassidy holding a dog and captioned the photo „My happy place.“ Kassidy commented two emoji hearts back in reply. It seems Christian is enamored with his bae because there are actually several pictures of Kassidy on his feed.

Before dating Kassidy, Christian was linked to an actress named Shazi Raja. In 2016, Shazi uploaded a „Happy Birthday“ post to Instagram, in which she called Christian „baby,“ pretty much confirming that the two were together.

Brandon Flynn

Brandon Flynn, who plays Justin Foley, might be currently single, but you probably recognize his super famous ex-boyfriend Sam Smith. The two started dating in September 2017 and Sam confirmed the relationship during an appearance on Ellen.

Unfortunately, the two split just several months later in June 2018. For now, Brandon keeps himself busy by working and hanging out with his adorable dog.

Anne Winters

Like her role on the show, Anne is coupled up in real life.

She actually dates a model, actor and musician named Taylor Beau. The two seem to have been dating for a while, since Taylor has photos with Anne on his Instagram that date back over a year.

More on their relationship

In recent years, Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer have clearly spoken of their off-screen friendship to the rest of the world. Mae Whitman had spoken openly about her friendship with her TV brother and real-life roommate in a March 2013 interview with BuzzFeed.

Whether Mae and Miles will ever be more than friends is not clear – only time will tell. However, looking at the caption of their Instagram posts, it seems like they are definitely having an affair.

However, if Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer do decide to leave the “Friend Zone,” they would not be the first and only set of Parenthood TV siblings with a real-life romance.

Actors Peter Krause and Lauren Graham (who played Adam and Sarah Braverman) are known to have first started dating shortly after they met on the Parenthood set in 2010.

The film was shared months ago, but fans have just begun to discover it this week after MTV posted the video.

The short film caused quite a buzz at Outfest’s Fusion Film Festival, which aims to promote work focused on LGBT issues. Rios captioned the film, „In this home movie collection of gay men, memory serves as an act of hope, power, and above all, resilience.“

Brandon Flynn has since been in a relationship with singing sensation Sam Smith, and we must admit, they do make an adorable couple.
